Day Ten Au Naturale

So today I notice I have about 2 inches of new growth!!!!! Yea me......I can't wait until it is about 8-9 inches then I will cut off the permed ends and start my natural hairstyles! This is the weekend to do hair again for the kids so pics will be posted soon!!!! Tonight I'm still feeling excited about my decision to go natural. Will it change? You will just have to wait and see!!!!

Braids

So my oldest daughter is very tender headed and hates getting her hair combed. Lucky me considering her hair is very thick and the length is more than halfway down her back. When I notice that she is getting restless with me combing her hair everyday we tough it out and spend a day braiding her hair. This particular hair styles lasts about two weeks so it is a joy for both of us especially on those rushed mornings with little time to spare.

Instructions on braiding:
I make sure her hair is washed and completely dry before I start braiding
I then start at the back of her head and part in three separate sections
Then I part and start braiding into small cornrolls
I also make sure I put grease on each part that I make
I finish braiding and the last step is to put the beads on the ends with rubberbands to keep the beads from coming off.

Day One Au Naturale

So today is the first day that I decided to get rid of the "Creamy Crack" and to go back to my natural hair! At first I was a little hesitant but unfortunately circumstance kinda pushed me in this direction. My choice was to either continue to go bald and ignore my hairs warning call or tough it out and do what is really best for myself! Believe me this decision wasn't easy. I love my hair and I get bored with the same style very quickly. So how am i feeling today? I'm loving my decision and can't wait to get started on this hair journey!
